Some originality from the Starbuck’s usual. Probably the best place to hit up on the west side of Portland! Features Sleepy Monk Roasters from Cannon Beach, Oregon.
Address: 800 NW Murray Blvd. Portland, OR 97229
Steven Smith Tea Shop
Tea zen right here.
Address: 1626 NW Thurman St. Portland, OR 97209
Little Boba Truck
Best boba I’ve ever tasted. Check out their Facebook page! Milk tea is dark and bold while their tapioca is sublime.
Stumptown Coffee Roasters
Iconically Portland with robust, bold blends. My parents even generously sent me beans from home knowing that I’d miss this stuff. If you’re visiting Portland, swinging by Stump is a MUST.
Address: 8235 SE 13th Ave #2, Portland, OR 97202
Vanilla lattes are prime. But not just vanilla–all the syrups are housemade and are quite famous!
Probably THE best latte I have ever, ever tasted. The texture is smoother than anything I’ve ever encountered. It’s a tiny little shop in downtown Portland but it packs quite a celebrated reputation with Italian roots.
Address: 520 SW 5th Ave, Portland, OR 97204
Barista is a proud patron of famous roasters like Sumptown and Coava, but it sets itself apart from the rest with smooth textures and hefty mugs. (Note: adding the housemade vanilla syrup gives the drink a much sweeter taste.) Simple yet elegant minimalist black decor adorns the place with nooks of small marble counters facing giant windows that give a clear view of the street.
